If you've seen such Broadway hits as "Smokey Joe's Cafe'" and "Jekyll & Hyde" she's thrilled you. If you've attended the Off-Broadway favorite, "Beehive" or Cynthia Weil & Barry Mann's highly acclaimed "They Wrote That?" you've heard her singing up a storm. And if you were lucky enough to see the legendary 60's group, "The Mamas & The Papas" in any of the numerous concerts they played around the world, you've joined thousands in cheering her powerful and charismatic performance as a new "Mama". She's Deb Lyons, and she sings background vocals on "Confession in the Back Room."

In the mid-nineties, Deb began a 5-year stint as a new "Mama" singing with the original Papas, John Phillips and Denny Doherty in “The Mamas & The Papas”. Soon after, Deb was cast in the original London West End company of “Smokey Joe's Cafe”, directed by Jerry Zaks. Deb, in fact, eventually went on to star in the Broadway company of “Smokey Joe's” and is featured in the HBO television broadcast and DVD of the show. That was followed by the first national tour of “Jekyll & Hyde” (directed by David Warren) with Deb in the role of "Lucy".
